Hi there! I’m Kim Sutton, Chief Everything Officer at Sutton Creative Studios. You may be shocked by 1) the informal-ness of my bio and 2) the fact that I’m bringing God into it but hey – take it or leave it. This is me.
I am a graduate of The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, one of the world’s top Fine Arts colleges, where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Architecture. I worked for 10 years as an interior designer in New York City, Chicago, Greenwich (CT) and Ohio for firms including Eric Mullendore, Architect, Ted Moudis Associates, TPG Architecture and Fanning Howey. Thanks to losing my job due to the economy in 2008, however, I was given the opportunity to realize that interior design really wasn’t where my passion was.
Yes, I’ll say it again – THANKS TO LOSING MY JOB… Remember, all things happen for a reason. And when God closes a door, he always opens another.
Since founding Sutton Creative Studios in 2012, God has not only blessed us with amazing clients, but also with three (more) beautiful children. I am stepmom to Kira, and mom to Jacob, Robert, Nevaeh, Zelda and David III, the last two of which are twins. I am extremely thankful to be blessed with the ability to do what I LOVE each and every day alongside people I love and/or respect highly.
Random facts about me: I have two left feet – I can trip over my own toes; I’m addicted to Nutella, angel food cake and caramel corn; When I watch TV I LOVE Downton Abbey, Duck Dynasty, Once Upon a Time and Supernatural; My favorite fiction authors are Robert Jordon and Sophie Kinsella but I have too many favorite non-fiction authors to mention; Depending on my mood I listen to Christian Rock or Dubstep, Country or Classic Rock; and in my spare time I love to knit, crochet or play MMO’s (find me on Rift or WoW as CPoche!)
Oh. and don’t call my phone between midnight and 5:00AM, but on any given day you can probably find me working on Skype!
If you are struggling to find where YOUR passion is, I ask that you please contact me. I know what it’s like to work a job you’re less than satisfied with, and I would love to help YOU find a way to do what you love. You are also invited to reach out to me through LinkedIn or Facebook.
